Adopt a Family

Due to hard economic conditions that families in our community face the Viburnum High School FBLA hosts "Adopt a Family" for the Christmas season. Families facing hard times may be adopted by local businesses and organizations. The families who are being adopted fill out a paper with their wants, needs, and sizes so they will be able to purchase them items that they need. Only giving out their age, gender, sizes, needs, and interests so they will be confidential. This is the 8th annual Adopt a Family and we have 32 participating families this year. All of these families will receive donations from the organizations as well as a ham, stuffing, cake mix, and other items needed to prepare a Christmas meal. To help raise money for Adopt a family we have Breakfast with Santa as a fundraiser. During Breakfast we host Breakfast with Santa in the K-3 and 4-6 buildings where the kids get to talk to and take a picture with Santa.
